India Wins Asian Youth Rapid Chess Championship Print

India topped the medal tally in the Asian Youth Rapid Chess Championship yesterday in Sari, Iran followed by Vietnam and China. Indian youths won 5 golds while Vietnam, China and Turkmenistan won 2 gold medals each.

A total of 300 players are competing in the popular Asian Youth Championships in age groups under-6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 for boys and girls. Visit the official website for final standings and round by round results. 


The Standard Chess Tournament starts today with two rounds per day until 26th June when a Blitz Championship shall also be held.
