The international chess tournament "Baku Open-2009", devoted to the Independence Day of the Azerbaijan Republic, will be held from 20-30 September 2009 in Baku (at the coast of the Caspian sea) under the patronage of the Azerbaijan Youth & Sport Ministry and the Chess Federation of Azerbaijan . The prize fund 60.000$ (USD), the First prize - 10.000$(USD). Total - 30 prizes.
