The 3rd Annual Sinquefield Cup is in progress at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis (CCSCSL), U.S.
The leaders after four rounds are former World champion Veselin Topalov and Armenian top player Levon Aronian. They have 3 points out of four games, leaving the nearest followers Magnus Carlsen and Anish Giri half a point behind.
Topalov started with two consecutive wins against Carlsen and Nakamura and drew the next encounters with Anand and Grischuk, while Aronian defeated Caruana and So but finished equal with Vachier-Lagrave and Giri.
The reigning World champion Magnus Carlsen started the tournament with a loss versus Topalov, but bounced back in the second and third round against Caruana and Vachier-Lagrave.
In the fourth round Carlsen and Giri made draw to tie for the third place with 2.5 points.
Round 5 will start on August, 27th, at 20:00 CET.
