The 77th Belarusian Chess Championship is taking place in Minsk from 11th until 24th January. Thirteen players compete in an all-play-all tournament with 11 rounds, and among them are seven Grandmasters. GM Evgeny Podolchenko is defending the title, which he won last year as then untitled player.

GM Andrei Zhigalko is in convincing lead with 5.5 points from seven rounds. Full point behind are IM Kiril Stupak and GM Sergei Zhigalko. Follow the results on the official website.
