 The FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov is landing today at 10:40 CET in Sofia airport by Aeroflot flight via Moscow. Mr. Ilyumzhinov is meeting the Bulgarian Prime minister and head of the organizing comittee - Mr. Boiko Borisov - at 12:00 CET at his office where the signing of the contract for the upcoming match between Viswanathan Anand and Veselin Topalov will take place.
The match was awarded to Sofia during the 80th congress in Kallithea. The schedule was agreed upon both parties during a meeting in Athens. The match will start on 21st of April, and the first game is on the 23rd. The last game is May 11th, tiebreaks and closing ceremony are May 12th.
