U20 Champion of Asia Tin Jingyao of Singapore convincingly won the strong IM section playing in very solid style leaving no doubt that he is well prepared for GM level. His extraordinary ability of deep concentration may help him to be a world top player soon. The tournament would deserve a large, bright and silent hall but reconstructions on the premises of the present venue are promised to be finished only by February 2017 when the next tournaments are going to start.

The highest Rating group was a clash of two young girls and four senior masters. The real winners were the girls gaining 134 FIDE rating points from the men. There was a peculiar rivalry for the first place. Juracsik Jozsef (HUN) has won the same group seven times while Cimpean Andra ROU who won seven goldmedals at National Championships of Romania in several age groups or team events. She was coached by Dombi Rudolf (ROU) who is not only an experienced chess master but successfully acted as Deputy Chief Arbiter fulfilling requirements for an IA norm.
From left IA Orso, Cimpean Andra (ROU) and IO Nagy
Tin Ruiqi from Singapore collected 64 points with great concentration similarly to her brother in the IM section.

The lower rating group was not less interesting either. It was a special challenge for a 9 years old tiny boy Bai Adelard from Taipei, twice against 5 Goliaths. Unfortunately he got a bad cold in the middle but continued his heroic fight losing his last three in tough games. He may become a great player provided he starts studies on basic endgames and makes special trainings for developing his tactical skills.
