The registration deadline for the 2016 European Rapid and Blitz Championships in Tallinn is November 15. Although it will be possible to register later, players who register after November 15 will be allowed to participate only in case free places are available and their entry fees will be doubled. Also, special conditions will not be granted to players who register later than November 15.

The Championships will take place in Tallinn (Estonia) from 14th of December (arrival) to 18th of December (departure) in the Park Inn by Radisson Meriton Conference & Spa Hotel.

The Rapid Championship will be held from December 15-16 and the Blitz Championship from December 17-18.

The total prize fund for the competitions will be €30,100 (€20,000 for the Rapid and €10,100 for the Blitz Championships).

The Championship is open to all players representing Chess Federations which are ECU members (FIDE zones 1.1. to 1.10), regardless of their title and rating. There is no limit to the number of participants per federation.
