4th PAKCHESS FIDE RATED CHESS TOURNAMENT 2016
Chess Association of Punjab (CAP) with the collaboration of Chess Federation of Pakistan (CFP) under the banner of World Chess Federation (FIDE) and with the sponsorship of Mr. Syed Zarrar Ali Shah is going to organize the 4th edition of Pakchess Fide Rated Chess Tournament which will be held at Smart Hotel, Liberty market Lahore from 11-13 November 2016. It is a 5 round Swiss league event with a time control of 90+30. Number of players is restricted to 30 only. CFP registration is mandatory for all participants. Entry fee is Rs.5000/ which is non-refundable. Fide Event code is 146663. One player from each province nominated by respective provincial association shall be entitled to free entry and free accommodation (last date is 15th Oct.).
Reporting time is 10:30 AM on 11th November. First round shall start at 11:30. On the next two days two rounds each will be played starting at 10:00 AM and 03:00 PM. Player will forfeit in case of one hour late arrival. Mr. Abdus Salim, President of Pakistan Chess Federation shall be the chief guest on the occasion of closing ceremony. Mr. Waqar Ahmad Madni Joint Secretary of Chess Federation of Pakistan is the Сhief Organizer and Сhief Arbiter of the event. Ties shall be broken with buchholz.
Total cash prize is PKR.295, 000/ (2800$) according to following break up.
1st: 75000 , 2nd:50000 , 3rd:35000 , 4th:20000 , 5th:15000
6th to 10th:10000 each
11th to 20th:5000 each
Total: PKR.295000 (2800$)
