The 6th round of European Senior Chess Championships finished yesterday.
In 50+ category top seed Rafayel Vaganyan celebrated third victory in a row and now has 5 points and leads the table with Evgeni Kalegin, but Vaganyan has better tie-break.
In this round GM Karen Movsziszian and Roman Akopov also outplayed their opponents. In round 7 two leaders of the tournament Vaganyan and Kalegin will face each other.

In 65+ category from 7 leaders of the tournament only two, Evgeny Sveshnikov and Valentin Bogdanov, took victories. Now these players are leading the table with 5 points out of 6.
Nona Gaprindashvili ended her game in a draw: her opponent was another famous chess player - GM Viktor Kupreichik from Belarus. After 6 rounds Gaprindashvili shares the third place.
