komunikat-aktualnosci

The fourth Polish-Hungarian Friendship Chess Tournament will be held from 7th to 8th May in Katowice.

Last year, there were about 800 participants. The organizers estimate that this year the event will also attract many players. The tournament is going to take place in the International Conference Centre in Katowice. Estimated prize pool is going to more than 8.000 EUR.

Since the event in Katowice (southern Poland) is one of the biggest chess events in Poland, many children will come to Silesia. The organizers prepared lots of attractions for them which will be available whole time, during the tournament.

Many Grand Masters announced their participation in the tournament, among them GM Mateusz Bartel (POL) and GM Viktor Erdos (HUN).

In 2017, Katowice will host European Blitz and Rapid European Chess Championship.
