The 60th Southend Chess Congress will take place from 25-28th March at the Southend Adult Community College, Ambleside Drive, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England.
The main event is the Southend FIDE Open, which will be completed over 7 rounds of Swiss system. As well as the Open there are two 5 round Weekenders.
1st Prize: £1,000; 2nd Prize: £500; 3rd Prize: £250. Rating Prize(s) according to entry.
Either one or two qualification places (according to entry) for the 2016 British Championship at Bournemouth will be available. See British Championship Qualification regulations 2016 on the ECF Website.
ECF Weekenders on 26-27th March will have four sections: : U170, U145, U120, U95, each 5-rounds ECF-graded Swiss.
