The Bank Lviv Open Chess Tournament 2016 is scheduled to take place from 14-16 March, in Lviv, Ukraine, sponsored by Bank Lviv.

The event is going to be held parallel to the Women’s World Chess Championship Match 2016 between Mariya Muzychuk and Hou Yifan, which is currently in progress.

The open tournament will be split into 4 different categories with total prize fund in total of 135,000 UAH:
- Tournament A – 11-round rapid tournament open to all, with prize fund in the amount of 70 000 UAH;
- Tournament B – 11-round rapid tournament open to kids born 2002 or later;
- Tournament C – 13-round blitz tournament open to all;
- Tournament D – 13-round blitz tournament open to kids born 2002 or later.
