Due to the newest strict FIDE-rules on Double RR tournaments there must be at least 4 GM-s against the two candidates so as GM norm could be possible. Despite of these hardened conditions, the two IM- s topped all GM-s. However, the norm proved to be just too high. Torma Robert (HUN), the winner, tried it hard in all games but half a point was missing for his goal.

Former Senior World Champion GM Kristiansen Jens (DEN) could have done it much better but missed some promising positions.

He must have been jet-legged at the beginning and definitely got tired by the end.

The IM section went on with balanced fight result no norms. Radlovacki Jovan (SRB) presented forceful play in all his games.

Jovan

Bodda
WIM BODDA, Pratyusha (IND)

Gaehwiler Gabriel (SUI) did the same in the second part, especially when IM Karolyi Tibor (HUN) could support him as a coach.
Pratyusha Bodda (IND) the only women participant had her heroic fight for the WGM norm against so experienced male masters. She was not far of that but needs to improve on her tactical skills. Her aim is to follow in the footsteps of GM Konery Humpy (IND) whose rating peak has already been as high as 2623 and had been a challenger of Hou Yifan (CHN) for the Women World Champion Title. First Saturday GM and IM events were an important step in Humpy’s career as well. Women World Campion Hou Yifan had also tried First Saturday (2008) with half a point away from GM norm here.

The highest rating section brought the rivalry of the most experienced player FM Koczo Kristof (HUN) and the former U12 now U14 National Champion of girls Kovacs Judit (HUN)

The winner luckily escaped from a losing endgame against her in the last round.
The youngest participant Kovacsy Barnabas (13, HUN) proved that her Arena International Master Title was achieved not accidentally and only by chance but there are real skills behind his success. So public should get accustomed with and recognize titles players are awarded by online chess achievements!

The Hotel MEDOSZ Rapid Rating tournament a day before the main events is offering a pleasant training opportunity. It is not only for the participants but open to all players.
This month Bodi Tibor (HUN) won it quite convincingly, shining his excellent tactical sills.
