The International Chess Tournament “Bled Chess Festival 2016” is going to take place from 19th of March through 20th March 2016 at the Grand Hall of the Grand Hotel Toplice***** in the Slovenian resort town situated along the glacial Lake Bled.
SD Caissa, Turizem Bled and SK Ljubljana organize the event in a 9-round Swiss rapid format with the time control 10’ + 5”. According to the rules, all players are kindly asked to observe the “dress code” rule (tracksuits and trainers are not allowed; evening gowns and suits are preferable).

The prizes in total of 3010,00 € in cash plus material prizes will be awarded as follows:
700 € + weekend in Bled; 400 € + weekend in Bled; 250 € + weekend in Bled; 150 € + practical prize; 100 € + practical prize; 90 € + practical prize; 80 € + practical prize; 70 € + practical prize; 60 € + practical prize; 50 € + practical prize
Best in women’s section: 100€ + weekend in Bled, practical prizes
Best veterans (year 1956 and older): 70€ + weekend in Bled, practical prizes
Best juniors – girls/boys (year 1996 and younger): 70, 50, 30 € and practical prizes
Best under 2400: 100, 70, 50 € and practical prizes
Best under 2200: 100, 70, 50 € and practical prizes
Bets under 2000: 70, 50, 30 € and practical prizes
Best under 1800: 70, 50, 30 € and practical prizes
