Yuxiang Fang wins “Chess in Kecskemet” January Tournament 2016 Print

The Grandmaster closed tournament “Chess in Kecskemet” was organized from January 22nd to January 31st, 2016, in Kecskemet, a city in the central part of Hungary.

The event was a 10-player single round robin tournament, valid for GM norms. The average Elo rating is 2394.

The 20-year-old Chinese player Yuxiang Fang emerged a solo winner with 7/9 points and fulfilled his GM norm. He finished half a point ahead of the runner-up GM Oliver Mihok from Hungary.

The third place was taken by FM Andras Orosz from Hungary.
