The January Lviv Tradition Chess Tournament 2016 was held from January 25th to January 31st, at Nton Hotel in the Ukrainian city of Lviv.
The event was a second category single round-robin tournament, valid for IM norms.
The top seed IM Artur Frolov from Ukraine scored 8/11 points to claim the first place.
Polish player Piotr Sabuk edged IM Daniil Shkuran from Ukraine and Piotr Goluch from Poland on a better tie-break score to take the silver, after the whole group scored 7.5 points. Shkuran finished third, while Goluch remained fourth.
The second edition of the tournament is scheduled to be held from February 22nd – 28th, 2016.
