The organizers of Zurich Chess Challenge 2016 prepared a pleasant surprise for all chess enthusiasts – an exhibition match between Boris Gelfand (Israel) and Alexander Morozevich (Russia) will be played on February 13.
The main idea of the match is to promote the new time control suggested by Oleg Skvortsov, main sponsor of the event. The match will consist of two rapid games, and two more blitz games will be played in case of a tie. If the winner is not determined after four games, the players will proceed to the Armageddon game.

The participants are Vishy Anand (India), Vladimir Kramnik (Russia), Hikaru Nakamura (USA), Levon Aronian (Armenia), Anish Giri (Netherlands) and Alexei Shirov (Latvia).
The world's oldest chess club and businessman Oleg Skvortsov, one of the sponsors of the event, suggested a new time control for classical chess tournaments: 40 minutes plus 10 second per move for the entire game.
