GM Nijat Abasov qualifies for 2016 Tata Steel Group Tournament |

The 20th Cultural Village Chess Tournament took place from November 16th to November 25th, 2015, at Café de Zon, in Wijk aan Zee, in the Netherlands.
The event was a 10 player single round-robin tournament with a qualifying character. The winner proceeds to the prestigious 2016 Tata Steel Group Tournament.
GM Nijat Abasov from Azerbaijan took the first place with 7.5/9 points, thus secured his place at the 2016 edition of the most elite tournament in the Netherlands.
Canadian GM Eric Hansen remained second with 7 points, leaving the nearest follower, Dutch GM Roeland Pruijssers, 1.5 points behind.
