Asian Juniors and Girls Winners
The Asian Juniors and Girls Under-20 Chess Championships were held from the 2nd to 12th October, 2015 at the Jannat Regency Hotel in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.
The event was organized by the Kyrgyz Chess Federation under the auspices of the Asian Chess Federation. The event was a 9-round Swiss tournament with 40 players from 9 countries across the Asian Continent namely India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Tadzhikistan, Uzbekistan, Sri-Lanka and host nation Kyrgyz Republic.
In the Open category first place was taken by Mosadeghpour Masoud (Iran) with 7.5/9 points, second place – IM Sunilduth Lyna Narayanan (India), third place – FM Javanbakht Nima (Iran).
In the Girls category first place was taken by WFM Tokhirjonova Gulrukhbegim (Uzbekistan), second place – WIM lvana Maria Furtado (India), third place – WIM Nandhidhaa Pv (India).
Gulrukhbegim emerged the winner in the Girls’ blitz and rapid championship while Yakubboev Nodirbek of Uzbekistan dominated the boys blitz and rapid championship leaving his closest contenders Mosadeghpour Masoud of Iran and IM Chakravarthi Reddy of India with half a point in both the blitz and rapid category respectively.
The Chief Arbiter of the Asian Juniors U-20 and Girls Chess Championship was Addukhalikov Abdikhakhar who was ably supported by deputy chief arbiter Ilhom Yunusov, deputy chief arbiter Umarbekov Aziz, Chief Arbiter of the Asian Rapid U-20 Chess Championship was Vahidov Abduvahob, Technical Arbiter Haidarov Abbos and the only female arbiter of the championship was Chingiz Kyzy Aizharkyn.
