PtujThe 2015 edition of Ptuj International Open Tournament was held from October 24th through October 31st, at Grand Hotel Primus, in Ptuj, a town in northeastern Slovenia.

The event was a 9-round Swiss FIDE tournament, which gathered 65 players from five different countries (Croatia, Czech Republic, Norway, Poland and Slovenia).

The time control was 90′ X 40 moves + 30′ + 30″.

Croatian GM Robert Zelcic collected 8/9 points to guarantee the trophy. He took the first prize of € 1,000 and added 4 new Elo points to his rating.

FM Peter Kokol of Slovenia finished second with 7.5 points, while 2015 Slovenian champion GM Marko Tratar took the bronze with 7 points.

The 19-year-old Barbara Skuhala of Slovenia emerged the best female player with 5.5 points and 14th place in the final ranking.
