Ahmed Adly wins 10th Mediterranean Championship 2015 |

The 10th Mediterranean Individual Chess Championship took place from October 15th through October 26th, at Rivera Grand Hotel, in Beirut, the capital city of Lebanon.
The event was a 9-round Swiss FIDE tournament, played under the patronage of FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov.
The time control was 90’/40 moves + 30’ + 30”, while the prize fund was in total of US$ 7,500.
55 players from 17 different Mediterranean countries took part in the competition. Egyptian GM Ahmed Adly emerged a clear winner with 7.5/9 points, leaving the nearest followers half a point behind. Adly added another trophy to his rich collection and took the top prize of US$ 1,250.
GM Mohamed Haddouche from Algeria and FM Anastasios Pavlidis from Greece tied for the second place with 7 points.
IM/ WGM Sophie Milliet from France was the best female player with 5.5 points.
