 The 16th Poikovsky Karpov Chess Tournament is scheduled to take place from September 27th to October 8th, 2015, in Poikovsky, a town in Khanty-Mansiysk region of Russia.
The event will be a 10-player round-robin tournament with the time control 100’/40 moves + 50’ + 30”.
The 16th edition of the strong and prestigious competition includes 3-time winner Viorel Bologan and former winners Alexey Shirov and Alexander Morozevich.
The Association of Chess Professionals (ACP) collaborates with the organizers, thus Ernesto Inarkiev was nominated by ACP to participate.
