8th Memorial Maria Albulet takes place in Braila |

The traditional Memorial Marial Albulet reaches its eighth edition. It is organized from September 10th – 16th, in Braila, a city in eastern Romania.
The event is a 9-round Swiss female open tournament with time control 90′/40 + 30′ + 30″. 26 players from Bulgaria, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine participate, including 1 IM and 4 WGMs.
Four women share the lead after 3 rounds. WFM Lena Miladinovic (Serbia), WGM Adriana Nikolova (Bulgaria), WFM Paula-Alexandra Gitu (Romania) and WFM Simoneta Ivanova (Bulgaria) tie for the first place with 2.5 points.
A prize of 3,000 RON (nearly 680 Euro) will be distributed to the winner.
