GM Jonathan Hawkins is crowned British champion after collecting 8.5/11 points and leaving the nearest followers half a point behind.

GM David Howell, GM Nicholas Pert and GM Daniel Gormally tied for the second place at 8 points each but Howell prevailed on a superior tie-break score to take the silver, while Pert remained third.
