The 48th Biel/ Bienne International Chess Festival is taking place from July 18-31, 2015, in Biel/ Bienne, a town in Switzerland.

The highlight of the event is the 19th Category GM tournament with an average of 2720 Elo.

David Navara started with a loss against the top seed Michael Adams but then three consecutive victories put him ahead of the rest of the field.

The second leg of the double round robin event is starting today. The pairings are below.
