CJKS-Prime Distributions Group GM Chess tournament 2015

The CJKS-Prime Distributions Group Grandmasters Chess Tournament 2005 began from 5th February 2015 Thursday in the Chittagong city in Bangladesh.

The Chattagram District Sports Association (CJKS) is organizing the event under the guidance of Bangladesh Chess Federation. Honorable State Minister Ministry of Land, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh Mr. Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Javed MP inaugurated the event to present as chief guest. Mr. Mesbah Uddin President of CJKS and District Commissioner of Chittagong preside the ceremony. Sponsor of the event Mr. Rashedul Alam, ADC (Land) Ilias Hossain, General Secretary of CJKS and Sinior-Vice-President of Bangladesh Cricket Board Mr. A.J. M. Nasir Uddin, two Vice-President of CJKS Advocate Shahin Aftabur Reza Chowdhury and Mozzamel Haque, two Vice-Presidents of Bangladesh Chess Federation Syed Shahab Uddin and K M Shahidullah and General Secretary of Bangladesh Chess Federation Mr. Gazi Shayiful Tarique were present as special guests in the ceremony.

The event is being held in round-robin league system with 10 players including 3 grandmasters, 4 International Masters, 2 FIDE Maters and 1 Woman Grandmaster from Bangladesh, India, Poland and Uzbekistan are participating in the event. Total two thousand five hundred US dollars prize money will be given to the winners.

This is first time GM event is being held in Chittagong city. They organised several FIDE rating tournament in the past. Every year they organized Team championship, which is also a FIDE rated event.
