chess newsThe 2nd Annual Bloomington Open is scheduled to take place on 7-9th November at the Crowne Plaza-MSP Mall of America, 3 Appletree Square, Bloomington, Minnesota.

The 5-round Swiss event with the time control G/90 +30 inc will consist of two sections: Open (FIDE rated) and Reserve (U1800).

The prize fund is $12,000 based on 200 paid entries

Open: $1200-700-500-300, top Under 2400/Unr $600-400-200 top Under 2200/Unr 600-400-200, top U2000/Unr 600-400-200.
Reserve (U1800): $800-600-400-300, top Under 1600 (no unr) $500-300-200, top Under 1400 (no unr) $500-300-200, Under 1200 (no unr) $400-250,150, Under 1000 $300-150 Unrated $250, trophies to top Under 800, Under 600.
