The 2014 Chess Championship of Azerbaijan was held from 31st May to 6th June in Baku. Eight players competed in the round robin event.

GM Ulvi Bajarani emerged new national champion after concluding the tournament with 5/7 points, leaving the second-placed GM Nijat Abasov half a point behind.
