5th Iberoamerican Chess Championship Print

The Chess City of Linares, under the auspices of the City Council and the Spanish Chess Federation will be the venue of the "5th Campeonato Iberoamericano de ajedrez". The tournament will be open (Swiss system, 9 rounds) for the registered players (men and women) in any of the 23 countries members of FIBDA (Iberoamerican Chess Federation).

Any Federation FIBDA member is entitled to nominate one player which accommodation will be covered by the organization.

The competition will be played from July 22nd (first round) until July 30th (9th and last round).

The amount of prices will be 18.600 € (about 26.000 dollars).
