The Champion Haddouche Mohamed with President of Algerian Chess Federation Samir Zerdali

The Algerian Chess Championship was held on 30 March to 4 April 2014 at "Hotel El Mehdi" Staouali Algiers. Eleven players competed in the round robin tournament. GMI Haddouche Mohamed of CEConstantine emerged national champion after concluding ths event with 9,5/10, in the second place FM Bengharabi Khalil and IM Beloudah Saad in third place.

The Algerian National Women Chess Championship was held on 30 March to 3 April 2014 at "Hotel El Mehdi" Staouali Algiers. The tournament was held in nine round Swiss system with the participation of 73 players. Meghara lylia BCE created a surprise by beating in the last round Latreche Sabrina, and becomes the new champion followed Latreche Sabrina and Mezioud Amina.
