The 53rd Cuban Chess Championship for men was held from 22nd January to 5th February in Santa Clara.
13 players competed in the round robin tournament with the average elo 2473.
GM Isan Reynaldo Ortiz Suarez emerged national champion after concluding the event with 8 points.
The Cuban Chess Championship for women is currently ongoing in Pinar del Rio.
