II Abierto Internacional de Ajedrez Ciudad de San Juan Print

chess newsThe 2nd Abierto Internacional de Ajedrez Ciudad de San Juan was held on 6-8th December at the Centro de Convenciones Provincia de San Juan in Argentina. 90 players competed in the 9-round Swiss event.

Grandmasters Federico Perez Ponsa and Diego Flores and IM Carlos Obregon shared the first place with 7,5 points each.

GM Sandro Mareco and Juan Pereyra finished on 7,0 points, while Grandmasters Salvador Alonso and Pablo Ricardi are in the group of players with 6,5 points.

The tournament was organized by the Municipalidad de la Ciudad de San Juan, tournament director was Prof. Cecilia Godoy and chief arbiter was IA Blas M. Pingas.
