EU Youth Chess Championship 2013 is underway. After three rounds, there are ten players with full amount of points. In the category U14 are top players Peczely and (HUN) and Tomczak (POL), in U12 Semjonovs (LAT), Volcko (BUL) a Antova (BUL), in U10 David (ROU) a Ciccoli (FRA) and in U8 Bulgariu (ROU), Nguyen Thai Dai Vinh (CZE) and Stalmach (CZE).
Since beautiful and combative games are seen, the organizers award best games in each category every day. After the first three rounds Gulas Gabriel, Frank Adam, Bulgariu Andrei, Ciccoli Theo, Markova Kristyna, Zavadil Matyas, Gumularz Szymon, Toth Tamas, Miesbauer Jan, Liska Jiri, Leriche Ines and Tomczak Mikolaj have been awarded. Rich chess and non-chess entertainment is ensured. On Thursday there was a walking tour to Ivancena hill (925 m. a. s. l.), which is situated between hills Malchor (1213 m. a. s. l.) and Kykulka (996 m. a. s. l.) in Beskydy mountains. You can find here a stone memorial of five scouts executed 24th april 1945 in Ciezsyn, bulit by members of Junák organization. Entertainment continued on Friday with simultaneous chess game with IM Petr Pisk. IM Pisk had won with points 13,5 : 1,5. Nguyen Thai Dai Van (CZE) had beaten the international master and a draw game had been managed by Matyas Zavadil (CZE). On Saturday morning capable hikers made walking tour to the highest point of Beskydy mountains, the Lysa hora (1323 m. a. s. l.). Among others leisure time activities, participants of this tournament mostly visit and use salt water pool, bowling and mountain bikes. Children also like to play with giant chess which are available for them. All games are transmitted on-line, so the parents and trainers either at home or present in the hotel can watch their charges. For present viewers 26 games is projected in hotel hall on two screens.
