chess newsChess players and non-players alike to attend Bradford Chesstival, a new event for City Park, bringing together chess on a grand scale with artistic and cultural activities, including music, dancing and children’s activities.

The main events will be 5 Grandmasters and International Masters each taking on 25 players in a simultaneous exhibition and a 125 board match, as well as giant chess sets and an opportunity to learn chess for beginners upwards.

This is a free event which has been organised in memory of the late Marsha Singh, MP for Bradford West and chess player.

Chesstival in the Park will be staging a large, multi-master simultaneous event with GM Gawain Jones, IMs Richard Pallister, Malcolm Pein, Andy Ledger and WIM Sue Maroroa.

To register a place in the simultaneous event against a Grandmaster/ International Master please complete this form. We expect this event to be oversubscribed so we cannot guarantee a place. You will be emailed to confirm your place.
