The 18th Vienna Chess Open is taking place on 17-25th August at the Town Hall in Vienna, Austria. The tournament is organized by the Wiener Schachverband.
The event consists of four playing sections: Group A (9-round open), Group B (9-round U2000), Group C (9-round, U1600) and Group D (5-round, U1600). A total of 740 players participate in Vienna Open.
Top prizes in the Group A are € 2.000, € 1.500, € 1.200, € 1.000, € 800, € 700, € 600 etc
