The 12th Annual Manhattan Open was held from August 2-4, 2013, at the New Yorker Hotel, 481 Eighth Ave at 34th St. across from Penn Station, New York, NY.

The Open section had 31 participants, with Israeli GM Anatoly Bykhovsky as the first seed. The winner of the tournament was quite surprising, however. FM Leif Pressman took home the $1.150 first prize after obtaining 4/5 points and edging Dominican champion Lisandro Munoz on tiebreaks.

Five players shared 3rd-7th place with 3.5 points each: Vladimir Romanenko, Anatoly Bykhovsky, Sergey Kudrin, Michael Rohde and Igor Sorkin.
