The Dutch Chess Championships were held on 5-11th July, 2013, at the Science Park Amsterdam. Both men and women tournaments were eight-player round-robins.

Grandmasters Wouter Spoelman and Dimitri Reinderman shared the first place with 5,5/7 points each. Spoelman won the direct encounter but the rules called for a tie-break mini match of two games.

Reinderman won both games to claim the title of national champion.

In the women event Lisa Schut won rather convincingly with 6,0/7 points, leaving the nearest followers full two points behind.
