The IM section brought the victory of Li Bo (CHN) who played the most accurately all the time.

Li
LI, Bo /CHN/

Kantor Gergely (HUN) proved his extraordinary talent again and achieved his first IM norm. Despite his young age (13) it was not a surprise at all since he was silver medalist at U20 HUN Championship a year before and was a successful member of the Hungarian silver medalist national squad at the European Youth Team Championship in Pardubice (CZE) also in 2012.

Sean Winshand Cuhendi (INA, 15 years old) the only representative of Indonesia this year won 38 FIDE rating points but could have achieved even more with a little stronger self-discipline. He is coached by IM-s living in Budapest so the First Saturday event works as a well-functioning world-chess school too.

The FM-A sections brought the victory of FM Juhasz Bela (HUN) proving that a titled player really represents high quality in Hungary.

Juhasz
FM JUHASZ, Bela /HUN/

The event was quite international with the participation of players mainly from the European Union. The FM sections provide opportunities for untitled players for having at least nine games against rated opponents and that is the key of popularity of the Round-Robin systems.
