The 17th Voronezh International Chess Festival will take place on 10-21 June in Voronezh Regional Chess Club (Voronezh, Russia).
General Information
The festival program is the same as it was in 2012.
There are three main tournaments: "Master Open" for for players with ELO rating of 2200 or more "FIDE Open" for players with ELO rating of 2250 or less or without ELO rating "Sail of Hope" for handicapped people
There are also three additional tournaments: Chess 960 tournament Rapid Chess tournament Blitz tournament

Prizes
"Master Open" prize fund is 900,000 RR = 22500 Euros, the first prize is 150,000 RR = 3750 Euros. "FIDE Open" prize fund is 200,000 RR = 5000 Euros, the first prize is 25,000 RR = 625 Euros. Special prizes for seniors, juniors, women, foreign players, local players.

Rate of play
For "Master Open" rate of play is 40 moves in 90 minutes, plus 30 minutes extra for the rest of the game, plus 30 seconds for each move. For "FIDE Open" rate of play is 90 minutes, plus 30 seconds for each move . For "Sail of Hope" rate of play is 75 minutes per game, plus 30 seconds for each move. For Chess 960 tournament rate of play is 15 minutes per game, plus 2 seconds for each move. For Rapid Chess tournament rate of play is 15 minutes per game, plus 2 seconds for each move. For Blitz tournament rate of play is 3 minutes per game, plus 2 seconds for each move.
Rating
"Master Open" and "FIDE Open" results will be rated for FIDE ELO ratings. Rapid Chess tournament results will be rated for FIDE Rapid ELO ratings. Blitz tournament results will be rated for FIDE Blitz ELO ratings.

Additional information
Voronezh International chess festival has been held yearly since 1997. Voronezh is situated 500 km to South from Moscow (between Moscow and Rostov-on-Don). The main tournament always begins on Russia Independence Day (June 12). This tournament has status of Russia Cup stage and ACP Cup stage. Since 2011 the festival is named after Russian world chess champion Alexander Alekhine (Alekhine's father was Voronezh noblemen leader). Voronezh region governor Alexey Gordeev and the region government provide the decisive support for festival during last years.
