World School Chess Championships in progress in Porto Carras Print

The FIDE Chess Academy of Thessaloniki, World Chess Federation (FIDE), International School Chess Union (ISCU) and the Greek Chess Federation are holding the World School Chess Championships 2013 in Porto Carras, Halkidiki, Greece, from 6th to 15th May 2013.

Today was a double round at the record breaking event with 550 players from 42 countries. Standings and live/replay games on the official website.

The first winner in each open age category is the FIDE World School Champion for 2013 and the first girl in each girl age category is the FIDE World Girl School Champions for 2013. According to the regulations they are awarded with the FIDE Candidate Master title.
