 The March Madness Championship is set to take place on 1-3rd March at the Bay Area Chess Center, 1639A South Main Street, Milpitas, California.
The tournament will be played over 5 rounds of Swiss pairings with the time control G/90 + 30 sec and in three sections: Open, AB and CDE.
The prize fund is $5,000 based on 97 paid entries and 75% is guaranteed.
Open (2000+, FIDE rated): $ 1,000, 500, 200 – U2300: $ 200, 100
AB (1600-1999): $ 700, 300, 100 – U1800: $ 200, 100, 100
CDE (U1600): $ 700, 300, 100 – U1400: $ 100, 100 – U1200: $100, 100
Entry fee is $77 by 27th February – Onsite $20 more
GMs, IMs, FMs, NMs are free to enter before 22nd February
