73rd Noteboom Tournament Print

The Leidsch Schaakgenootschap organized the 73rd Noteboom Tournament on 8-10th February at the Leonardo College in Leiden, Netherlands. Group A was open for players rated over 1900, Group B was reserved for the players rated between 1600 and 2000, and Group C was open for players rated under 1700.

All sections were played over six rounds of Swiss system.

In the main Group A (102 players) Grandmasters Fedorchuk, van den Doel, Ikonnikov, Rausis, Smeets and IM Bitalzadeh shared the first place with 5,0/6 points each. GM Fedorchuk is declared winner on superior Buchholz.

In the Group B (96 players) Bas van der Berg took a clear first place with 5,5 points. Chiel Koster won the Group C in competition of 70 players, also with 5,5/6 points.
