chess newsVizag Grandmasters International Open Chess Tournament was held from 25th October to 4th November at the Swarna Bharathi AC Indoor Stadium in Visakhapatnam, state of Andhra Pradesh, India.

The tournament was played over 11 rounds of Swiss system and for the prize fund of 14,700 EUR.

Grandmasters Enamul Hossain (Bandgladesh), B Adhiban (India) and Davit G Petrosian (Armenia) shared the first place with 8,5 points each. Hossain took the winner’s trophy on superior tie-break.

This is another excellent result for Bangladesh as GM Ziaur Rahman previously won the NIT International Grandmasters Open in Nagpur.
