Welcome to Guimarães!

Yesterday morning occurred the technical meeting. Eugen Fleisher, FISU Technical Committee responsible, remembered to all the participants the rules of the game. The member of the Medical Committee present, Kadirhan Sungurolu, warned that anti doping tests will be done during the week. Three athletes, one Chinese, one Polish and another from Russian Federation where invited to integrate the Techinal Committe. Until the 26th August, Guimarães will be the world capital of chess. It´s time to move...

At the open ceremony the president of the Organizing Committee rememberd the previous organizations of the University of Minho and the Student’s Union, hoping that this could be a success as well.
About a hundred college students from eighteen different countries came to Portugal to dispute the championship that last to place in Zurich, Switzerland in 2010.
