The usual monthly First Saturday GM Tournament was named as 3rd Borloy Androvitzky Karoly Memorial in July since the widow of the well-known and highly respected Hungarian master of the past century also sponsored the event. He created an alternative numerical system for measuring players performances that would have deserved greater attention.

Nobody could achieve any GM norms this time but IM Idani Pouya (IRI) was nursing real hopes for it for the longest. IM Mihok Oliver (HUN) came up with a strong finish.

Chinese success in the IM section
A 14 year-old boy of Shanghai CM Xu, Yi (CHN) delivered great surprise with his mature play performing IM norm collecting as many as 65 FIDE-Rating points.
Szabo Bence (HUN) already has three IM-norms but needs higher rating for the IM title. Szajbely Zsigmond (HUN,14) was leading after six rounds but he would have needed more routine for the high nervous tension of the rest.

The FM sections as always were clashes of generations.
Koczo Kristof (HUN) should start in the IM section. Teng Jiarong ( CHN, 15) started as the only unrated player but performed 2111 as a part to his initial rating to the August 2012 FIDE-list.

Haanshuus Aslak (NOR) has won his first international tournament winning the FM-A-2 section which was 6 players Double RR.
Bakos Viktor (HUN, 10) won the FM-B section in tie with Liu, Chengming (CHN,12).

The MEDOSZ Hotel Budapest provided pleasant conditions with the large, air-conditioned Conference Hall and with kind hospitality of all members of the Hotel staff.
The next First Saturday events are scheduled at: 4-14th August at the same venue.
