After 6 rounds of the World Women Chess Rapid Championship 2012, Humpy Koneru and Antoaneta Stefanova are ahead with 5 points each. Alexandra Kosteniuk, Hoang Qian, Wnag Jue and Katerina Lahno share the third place half a point behind.
The strong competition features 50 participants, including WJCC and European medalist Anna Muzychuk (top seeded), the European Champion IM Valentina Gunina, the World Championship finalist GM Humpy Koneru, the European Silver medalist GM Tatiana Kosintseva, the ex World Champion Anoaneta Stefanova, the US Champion IM Irina Krush, the ex World Champion GM Alexandra Kosteniuk, the Armenian number 1 GM Elina Danielian, China reigning champion WGM Qian Huang, former European champion GM Pia Cramling, etc.
The champion will be decided after 11 rounds with time control 25 min + 10 seconds.
