Salento International Chess Tournament 2012 will be held from 19th May to 26th May, 2012, in Gallipoli, Lecce, Italy. There will be three events, Open A for the players rated above 1950, Open B for the players rated under 2050 and Weekend Open on 25-27th May. Open A is a 9-round Swiss for the prize fund of 4000 EUR. First prize is 900 EUR, 2nd is 700 EUR, 3rd 600 EUR etc. Open B is the 8-round Swiss with the prize fund of 1100 EUR. Weekend Open is a 5-round Swiss for the prize fund of 1100 EUR.
