The Stiavnica Chess Festival, incorporating the International Championship of Slovakia, is scheduled to take place on 7th-15th July 2012 at the Cultural and public centre in Banská Štiavnica, Slovakia.

International Bughouse Championship (price fund 500 €, entry fee 4 € for player), 11th July 2012

Applications are accepted only with payment (Entry fee, accommodation, cattering). Applications should be send no later then 10th June 2012. After this deadline the payment will be increased by 4 € and the organizer will not be able to guarantee acceptation. In the Application, it is necessary to state: name, surname, birth date and rating. It must be stated whether you are requesting meals and accommodation (arrival and departure dates).

Other Information: Waiting period in Tournaments A and B is 1 Hour (FIDE rules 6.6 a).
When points are equal, ranking is decided by (Tournaments A and B): 1.modified Buchholz (only real points, without lowest ranked opponent), 2.Rating performance 3.full Buchholz 4.more wins 5.lot
Leisure time: points of interest/ tourist hotspots: beautiful countryside surrounding Štiavnické vrchy, swimming in lakes, many historic landmarks, football tournament for chess players.

System: 9 round Swiss system, this tournament is International Championship of Slovakia (individual and women), results will be reported to FIDE for rating and norm inclusion.
Play tempo: 90 minutes for 40 moves + 30 seconds bonus, then 30 minutes + 30 seconds for game Date: 7th – 15th July 2012
Entry fee: GM, IM – conditions on agreement with the tournament director, FM, WGM, WIM, WFM – no entry fee
For entry fee is important Fide rating list on the date 1st May 2012 FIDE > 2350 11,-€; FIDE 2350 – 2200 22,-€; FIDE 2199 – 2000 33,-€; FIDE < 2000; without FIDE 100,-€
Reduction: Seniors (born 1951 and before), Juniors (born 1992 and later), Women, Discount 25% for entry fee;
