Chinese Men, Indonesian and Mongolian Women lead Asian Continental Print

Chinese IM Liu Qingnan and GM Yu Yangyi remain tied with perfect 3 point slates after 3 rounds of the Asian Continental Championship in Ho Chi Minh. WGMs Irine Sukandar of Indonesia and Tuvshintugs Batchimeg of Mongolia lead the Women's with 3 points each.

Yu Yangyi plays white against his compatriot Liu Qingnan while Batchimeg plays white against Sukandar in today's 4th round.

In round 2 of the open section Yu Yangi from China with black pieces beat GM Gomez in a closed Catalan with 28 moves. On board 2 IM Li Quingnan used the Grand Prix attack against IM Gundavaa and by using his passed pawn stop his opponent's attack and oin the game.

Interesting was the game of GM Zhao Jun of China against IM Nguyen Duc Hoa of Vietnam which took 119 moves and finished in favor of the Chinese player after 6 hours.

In the women's section the game between WGM Hoang Thi Bao Tram of Vietnam and IM Munguntuul Batkhuyag of Mongolia ended in draw. but on board 2 WIM Irine Sukendar with black pieces beat WGM Tan Zhongyi of China and grabbed the lead together with WGM Batchimeg Tuvshintugs who beat IM Karavade Isha from India.
