The Master Group of the Italian Team Championship started on Friday, 27th April in Arvier, Aosta Valley. 14 teams compete for the title in the 7-round Swiss tournament. The Championship concludes on 1st May. The Italian Women Team Championship starts from Saturday, 28th April.
About 20 Grandmasters take participation, among them being Fabiano Caruana, Hikaru Nakamura, Kiril Georgiev, Gawain Jones and David Alberto.
